Konstantinos Papakonstantinou: Laid off → fully remote senior at EPAM

Konstantinos hadn't interviewed in 5 years when he got laid off.

His resume was outdated, his LinkedIn was inactive and he hadn't practiced an interview in years.

Most developers in that spot spend months just convincing themselves they're not ready.

But he went from laid off to a fully remote senior role at EPAM.

Here are the things we worked on, in that order, to get there:

1. The positioning

His resume and LinkedIn were unusable.

We rebuilt both from scratch using a template that not only gets interviews but also makes recruiters reach out first.

And that's exactly how he found this role.

A recruiter found him on LinkedIn and started the process.

2. The interview prep

He thought he was ready for interviews.

But we conducted a mock interview to test his skills.

He wasn't at all, and that was the wake up call he needed.

We changed his approach, kept practicing, and when the real interviews came, he passed the technical rounds with no problem.

3. The gaps

He was going for React roles but hadn't studied it systematically, as his previous role was with Angular.

System design and backend skills needed work too.

Every new challenge that came up, we solved with a targeted prep.

Fast forward to today, he's now mentoring junior devs, leading the frontend, and working on a complex banking project for a global company.

I'm not sure I would have landed this role as fast without the program.
